Three games. 34 runs. The Boston College baseball team completed a weekend smackdown of Charleston Southern on Sunday with a 10-2 victory. This came on the heels of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday in which BC put up 12 runs in each game.
Alex Stiegler was the winning pitcher for BC, throwing four scoreless innings from the third through the sixth, striking out 5 and allowing 5 hits.
Unlike yesterday’s opener in which BC featured the longball, the Eagles ground down the Bucs today with singles and walks. 7 of BC’s 9 hits were singles, and they added 11 walks.
