CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team earned a 69-44 win over Maine in the first round of the WNIT on Thursday evening in Conte Forum.
The Eagles will wait to see who they play next, as Rhode Island and Quinnipiac face off tomorrow evening at 6 p.m.
Boston College improves to 20-11 for its second 20-win season in the past three years and the 12th in program history. Maine's season ends at 20-12. It's also the first postseason win for the Eagles since the 2010-11 season.
Taylor Soule produced a game-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting and five rebounds.
