WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Matt Boldy was named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week on Monday with UConn's Jachym Kondelik, earning at least a share of the award for the fourth time this season.
The sophomore scored a pair of goals in a 4-2 win over No. 18 Northeastern on Friday to help the Eagles clinch the No. 1 seed for the Hockey East Tournament. Boldy had four shots on goal and was plus-2 in the victory over the Huskies.
His first goal of the night tied teammate Marc McLaughlin for the national lead with his third shorthanded goal, BC's NCAA-leading eighth shorthanded goal as a team.
