BRIGHTON, Mass. – Freshman hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning as Boston College downed Louisville, 8-4, in the second game of the three-game series at the Harrington Athletics Village on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles (14-24, 4-10 ACC) scored eight runs on seven hits and had zero errors in the victory. Freshman pitcher picked up her ninth win of the season as she went 3.2 innings, scattered five hits, gave up two runs and struck out six batters.
Boccagno went 1-for-2, with the home run, two RBI and two runs scored. It was her team-high seventh home run of the season and her first since March 19 vs.
