OMAHA, Neb. – A NCAA-leading three Boston College baseball players were named to the Perfect Game Freshman All-America Team on Thursday morning. Outfielder Sal Frelick (Lexington, Mass.) and second baseman Cody Morissette (Exeter, N.H.) each earned their second Freshman All-America honor of the season, while right-handed pitcher Mason Pelio (San Diego, Calif.) became the seventh Freshman All-American in BC history.
Morissette was recognized as a First Team selection by Perfect Game. Frelick and Pelio were both named to the Second Team.
Morissette, who was previously recognized as a Collegiate Baseball News All-America Third Team pick and a Freshman All-American, hit .
