Luke Fernandes has spent most of the 2016 season on the shelf recovering from surgery. After being injured in 2015, he served as a pinch runner in the exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox, then pitched his first throws in official game action on Senior Day against Niagara.
All season long, Fernandes remained with the Eagles as their unofficial team interviewer. Serving as BC's answer to Gary Striewski or Guerin Austin, he's done postgame interviews with fellow members of the Birdball roster throughout 2016.
After the emotional explosion yesterday following the inclusion of Boston College in the 2016 NCAA Tournament, Fernandes sat down with his teammates and captains Joe Cronin and Nick Sciortino to talk about what this means to the program.
