FRANCONIA, N.H. – Senior Parker Biele finished 13th overall in the women's giant slalom at the 2021 NCAA Skiing Championships on Wednesday at Cannon Mountain, five spots higher than her NCAA debut last year in Montana.
Freshman Zach Simmons placed 16th in the men's giant slalom, the highest NCAA finish by a male skier in school history, to give the Eagles a pair of top-20 finishers on day one.
Biele's times ranked 11th in the first run and 14th in the second run for a final combined time of 2:10.
