CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its All-American Scholars earlier this week and defenseman and goaltender from the Boston College men's hockey team were featured on the list.
The pair were named to the Hockey East All-Academic team earlier this week, with Bengtsson also being named a Hockey East Top Scholar-Athlete and to the Hockey East Academic All-Star Team.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.
