BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team fell to Massachusetts in the Beanpot semifinal, 6-2, at the Harrington Athletics Village on Tuesday afternoon. The loss evened the Eagles at 14-14 overall, while the Minutemen move into the championship round at Fenway Park on April 17 with a record of 6-15.
Tied 2-2 at the end of four, UMass put three runs on the board in the top of the fifth with two hits, two walks and a hit batsman against BC sophomore lefty Will Hesslink (Shelburne, Vt.); the first Eagle reliever of the day.
