CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - It's been tough sledding for the Boston College football team lately.
On Saturday, the Eagles dropped their fifth game in a row, falling to Virginia Tech, 26-10, at home. The offense couldn't get much going, as the team once again appeared out of line. It's a loss that dooms Boston College's hopes for a bowl game and has seen redshirt freshman quarterback Troy Flutie's role on the team diminish.
One glimmer of hope was the play of walk-on freshman quarterback John Fadule, who provided the latest answer under center for the Eagles and is making a stunning ascent.
