Boston College Women’s Hockey’s season opened in disastrous fashion. After falling 4-2 on Friday night and losing last season’s #2 scorer to injury for an indeterminate amount of time, the Eagles lost again on Saturday night to Minnesota-Duluth once again by a score of 2-1.
Unlike Friday, the Eagles never led in this one. Duluth scored just 3:33 into the first period and never looked back. A second goal late in the first period made it 2-0, and the Eagles couldn’t seem to find their footing.
Fortunately, though, the Eagles did finally look good for much of the second period.
