The fall continues for Boston College Women’s Hockey. With a big opportunity to climb back into the national conversation in front of them thanks to a two-game set with #3 Northeastern, the Eagles couldn’t find the upset in game number one and fell 4-1 Friday night in the road half of the home-and-home.
The first period was the story of this one. During the bulk of this rough stretch, it’s been more of a BC-hangs-around-but-ultimately-falls storyline. That wasn’t the case at Matthews Arena last night. The Huskies put together a nearly perfect opening frame with three quick goals in the first period to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room, really taking the wind out of BC’s sails.
