Season openers are always hit or miss, especially with a group full of freshmen and sophomores. But after one game, there isn’t too much to complain about after seeing Boston College Women’s Hockey come away with a win in game one against Merrimack. A second period power play goal and an empty net tally late were enough to give the Eagles the 2-0 shutout victory over the Warriors at J. Thom Lawler Rink.
The game wasn’t all positive, though — BC forward Delaney Belinskas went down on a scary play in the second period and was taken off on a stretcher after a long delay.
