On December 8th, 2012, Minnesota women's hockey capped off a monstrous first half of hockey with a 5-0 blowout of Bemidji State. The Gophers entered the break at 20-0-0, the first time a team had ever entered the holiday break with an unblemished record.
Flash forward to December 10th, 2015. Thursday night, Boston College took the long road to upstate New York and blew the doors off Syracuse, scoring 6 goals in the game's first 25 minutes on their way to a 7-2 win. The win matched the Gophers for the all-time best season start in the modern era at 20-0-0.
