BC Women’s Hockey Cleans Up At Hockey East Awards Banquet

Friday night’s Hockey East awards banquet had such an Eagle theme that everyone else might as well have just not showed up.

Boston College Women’s Hockey players won just about all of the major awards, with BC freshman Daryl Watts picking up the most significant hardware. Watts was recognized as the league’s scoring champion, the winner of the Hockey East Three Stars award, rookie of the year, and the big award, Hockey East’s Cammi Granato Award as Hockey East Player of the Year.

Watts was also named to the All-Hockey East first team, with teammates Caitrin Lonergan and Toni Ann Miano — all three of which as unanimous selections — with goaltender Katie Burt named to the second team.
