TAMPA - The Boston College baseball team took the first game of a two-game set against the University of South Florida, 18-8, on Tuesday night in Tampa at the USF Baseball Stadium. The 18 runs marked a season-high for the Eagles.
Travis Honeyman led the game off with a solo shot on the first pitch of the contest for the early 1-0 lead but the Eagles fell behind, 4-2, after three frames. The Bulls' lead didn't last long, though, as the BC's bats put up multiple runs in the fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings to put the game away.
