TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Boston College baseball team lost at No. 18 Florida State, 10-2, in its series opener from Dick Howser Stadium. The Seminoles moved to 17-13 overall and 12-10 in the ACC, while the Eagles fell to 14-17 and 4-15.
FSU's first nine runs came via the home run. Catcher Matheu Nelson hit a grand slam in the third, shortstop Nander De Sandas a leadoff-home run in the fourth and first baseman Tyler Martin a grand slam in the seventh.
Lefty Parker Messick (3-2) went the first five innings for the win.
