NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team battled the Army Black Knights to a 2-2 tie on Sunday afternoon at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.
The contest also served as BC's Red Bandanna Game in honor of former Boston College lacrosse player Welles Crowther, who led people to safety after terrorists struck the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
Senior Sydney Moore wore the No. 19 jersey in honor of Crowther.
The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute thanks to Sophia Lowenberg's first career goal.
