STORRS, Conn. – The Boston College baseball team went on the road and defeated No. 25 Connecticut, 5-3, at Elliot Ballpark on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore right fielder Cameron Leary (Bethpage, N.Y.) hit his ninth home run of the season; a solo shot in the fifth that gave Boston College a 3-2 lead as the Eagles scored for the third consecutive inning. In the seventh, BC added to its lead with a two-run home run to right by sophomore first baseman Joe Vetrano (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) as he connected on his seventh long ball of the year.
