In a unanimous decision, Acacia Walker-Weinstein has been chosen as BC Interruption’s 2021 Coach of the Year. This is her 4th win in this category over the past 5 years (Joanna Bernabei-McNamee was our winner for 2019-20).
Walker-Weinstein took over the women’s lacrosse head coaching job at Boston College in May 2012, and since then she has turned the Eagles into a national powerhouse. This year, she led the Eagles to their 4th straight Final Four and National Championship appearances. And this year, the Eagles finally won the trophy, defeating ACC foes UNC and Syracuse in the Final Four.
