Boston College and Pittsburgh will be participating in the Fight for Literacy campaign in conjunction with Tuesday night's game. Both coaching staffs will be wearing green ties and lapel pins, helping to raise awareness for illiteracy.
Coaching for Literacy uses the power of sports to raise awareness about the problem of illiteracy and generate financial support for literacy programs nationwide. The charity has conducted over 100 Fight for Literacy Games with more than 50 NCAA teams and has provided over $200,000 to fund 75 literacy projects supporting more than 10,000 children nationwide.
