ATLANTA - The Boston College softball team dropped two games at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, losing to Nebraska in the first game, 5-2, and Iowa in the second game, 4-1, in Atlanta.

Ellie Mataya had a stellar game for BC, going 3-3 with a walk and two runs. On the mound, CC Cook pitched all six innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits with four strikeouts.
The Eagles scored in the top of the first, when Kristin Giery hit a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Mataya.
