CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – Boston College lost to North Carolina 5-0 in the second game of Friday's doubleheader. The Eagles move to 16-12 on the season and 1-4 in ACC play while the Tar Heels improve to 12-21 and 2-6 in the conference.
It was a defensive showdown for almost the entirety of this one. Both teams were held scoreless all the way until the final inning. The Tar Heels finally got their bats going, scoring five runs to put the game virtually out of reach for BC heading into the final half inning.
For Carolina, Kenna Raye Dark pitched an impressive game, she played a complete game and allowed just three hits in 24 at bats.
