BOSTON – Boston College head coach Jerry York captured win number 600 during his tenure as the seventh-seeded Eagles upset No. 1 seed and second-ranked Massachusetts 3-0 Friday night in the Hockey East Semifinal at TD Garden. The Eagles advanced to the Hockey East Championship Game and will look for their league-record 12th league title Saturday night against Northeastern.
Junior goaltender Joseph Woll was strong in net all night for the Eagles, finishing with 36 saves for his third shutout of the season.
York became the fourth Division I coach to win 600 games at the same school, joining Jack Parker (BU), Red Berenson (Michigan) and Ron Mason (Michigan State).
