LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Boston College battled No. 5 Louisville before falling in four sets on Sunday afternoon. Scores of the sets were 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, and 25-17.
The Eagles battled point for point with the Cardinals in the opening set, before ultimately falling, 25-23. BC tallied 12 kills and hit .200 in the first, while UofL registered 14 kills and a .167 swing percentage.
In the second, BC never led as the Cards jumped out to a 5-1 advantage. A 4-1 push by the Eagles got it to within one. Boston College would tie it twice and get within one on eight occasions, but dropped set two, 25-20.
