CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Twelve Boston College athletic teams were recognized Wednesday with the NCAA APR (Academic Progress Rate) Public Recognition Award. Each year, the awards are bestowed upon teams finishing in the top 10 percent of their respective sport based on the most recent multi-year APR.
BC's 12 teams honored rank tied for third nationally among FBS schools, and second among Atlantic Coast Conference schools.
"I applaud every program earning a Public Recognition Award this year for their commitment to going above and beyond to prepare students for life after college through academic achievement," NCAA President Mark Emmert said.
