2017 Boston College graduate Erika Reineke was named this year’s Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year this morning. She was evaluated by a panel of sailing media profressionals from a list of eight finalists of the year’s top female sailors selected by US Sailing.
Reinecke competed with the BC Sailing Team from 2013-2017. She was a four-time All-American and won four National Singlehanded Sailing Championships. She also led the BC women’s sailing team to a second-place finish at the National Championships in May 2017. She recently secured the Enoshima Olympic Week Laser Radial Gold Medal and is known as an up and coming star in the sport.
