Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College junior outfielder Chris Shaw was on a roll when he had to leave the game against Clemson on April 10. He later found out that he suffered a broken hamate bone, costing him three to six weeks of the season. At the time, the left-handed power hitter tied for the Atlantic Coast Conference lead with 11 home runs, was second with a .696 slugging percentage and ranked fourth with 41 RBIs. He was on a 15-game hit streak that included 28 hits, including seven doubles and seven home runs, 15 runs, 22 RBIs and eight walks.
