UMass Minutemen starting quarterback Tyler Lytle is a “game time choice” after missing practice midweek, according to the Hampshire Gazette’s interview with UMass coach Walt Bell.
Lytle was “banged up” after being hit 10 times in the opener against Pitt, per the Gazette, and Bell said he would be a game time decision.
Lytle had an inauspicious UMass debut, going 14-for-31 for 167 yards, but he’s got a strong pedigree as a former 3-star recruit and veteran transfer from Colorado; he’s considered a key cog in Walt Bell’s efforts to inject some offense into the Minutemen this season.
