ORONO, Maine – Both sides of the attack paced No. 19 Boston College in a dominating 5-0 shutout of Maine on Saturday night as 12 different Eagles recorded at least one point while sophomore goaltender Joseph Woll picked up his first shutout of the season via 33 saves.
The Eagles have shutout Maine three times in the last five meetings, but the last two took place at Kelley Rink. Saturday's shutout marks the first Black Bear blanking on Maine's ice since Jan. 29, 2000.
Five different goal scorers in Casey Fitzgerald, Julius Mattila, Zach Walker, Logan Hutsko and Graham McPhee anchored the offense and never gave Maine a chance.
