CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Goaltender earned her first career win, as the Boston College Women's Hockey team defeated Holy Cross 5-1 on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
The Eagles and the Crusaders traded chances for most of the first period, before Kara Goulding buried a rebound goal with 39 seconds left in the period to give the Eagles the lead heading into the intermission. Goulding's goal was her first of the season and her career.
Abby Newhook extended the lead to 2-0 on the powerplay as she took Sammy Taber's pass through the crease, and finished it home between Brooke Loranger's legs.
