GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College junior Derek Austin has been selected to the 2019 ACC Men's Tennis All-Academic Team, as announced on Friday by the conference.
Austin played No. 1 singles and doubles for the Eagles this past season. He was named to the All-ACC Third Team, becoming the first Eagle to earn All-ACC honors since 2012. Last year, Austin was tabbed as an ITA Scholar-Athlete following his sophomore season.
The Mill Valley, California native went 12-13 overall and 3-9 in conference play, finishing his season by upsetting No. 92 Simon Beaudry against Clemson in the ACC Championship.
