DEDHAM, Mass.: The No. 9 Boston College field hockey team topped cross-town opponent Northeastern, 2-1, Tuesday evening in Dedham.
The Eagles opened up the match with a statement, pulling two consecutive corner shots just 30 seconds into the game. Although both corner shots were blocked, sophomore found her fourth goal of the season 4:13 into the game to open up the scoring and put the Eagles up 1-0.
The remainder of the first half showed the Eagles holding onto control in their offensive zone. They led in shots 7-2 throughout the half.
The Huskies knotted the score at one when Rachel Campbell capitalized on Northeastern's first corner attempt of the evening at 30:45 in the first.
