PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore Matt Argentina scored a goal in the third period and secured an extra point for Boston College over No. 10 Providence with a shootout winner in the fourth round on Saturday night at Schneider Arena.
The game officially finished as a 2-2 tie, the second straight tie between the schools who split their regular season series. The Eagles moved to 5-5-4 overall and 4-3-3 in Hockey East.
Sophomore Connor Joyce scored the other goal for BC, his second of the season. Graduate student Mitch Benson finished the night with 33 saves, more than half of which came in the second period.
