WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Boston College visited No. 29 Wake Forest on Sunday for an ACC clash in North Carolina, but fell by a final score of 5-2 to close its weekend.
The Eagles dropped to 4-7 overall and 2-7 in ACC play, while the Demon Deacons improved to 10-6 (5-3 ACC).
Wake Forest wasted no time in clinching the doubles point as matches in the top two slots were decided 6-0 and 6-1.
BC's fought hard against No. 21 Carolyn Campana in the No. 1 singles slot, but ultimately fell in a third set superbreaker.
