DURHAM, N.C.-- Ninth-seeded Boston College pushed No.4 and first-seeded Duke to an extra innings duel with the winning run in the 10th, at the Duke Softball Stadium on Thursday afternoon. The loss eliminated the Eagles from the ACC Championship. While the Blue Devils moved on to Friday's semifinals.
Abby Dunning got the start for the Eagles and delivered a strong performance after dealing 7 innings of work yesterday. Abby threw another 10 innings today, striking out 6, while allowing just 6 hits on 146 pitches.
