CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.— Boston College had four senior standouts named to the 70-member 2018 All-ACC Academic Football Team, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Defensive end Zach Allen, center Jon Baker, defensive tackle Ray Smith and tight end Tommy Sweeney were named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team. All four players also earned All-ACC honors on the field following the 2018 season as well.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career.
