Aapeli Räsänen announced his commitment to Boston College today. The Finnish center will join the Eagles in fall 2017.
Räsänen plays for the Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL, where he is linemates will fellow BC commit Eeli Tolvanen. Räsänen also played for Finland’s WJC team this year with Tolvanen and current BC freshmen Jesper and Julius Mattila. He was drafted 153rd overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and is an Edmonton Oilers prospect.
Räsänen is known for getting into good positioning to set up plays or score off rebounds, which is something the Eagles need on offense.
