Another year, another BC Interruption Coach of the Year award for Acacia Walker-Weinstein! Walker-Weinstein was the unanimous winner this year after leading Boston College to victory in the ACC Championship and the NCAA Championship.
In her 14th season at Boston College, Walker-Weinstein led BC to a 20-3 overall record. Her Eagles went on to defeat #1 seed Syracuse 15-8 in the ACC Championship before heading to the NCAA Tournament.
In her seventh straight NCAA Championship Game appearance, Walker-Weinstein found her team down 6-0 to #1 Northwestern after the first period of play. The 6-0 score was the largest deficit BC had encountered this season, and had a lot of people counting the Eagles out.
