BOSTON – Daryl Watts scored two goals and Makenna Newkirk tallied the game-winner in the third period as the second-ranked Boston College women's hockey team earned a 4-2 win over Boston University at Walter Brown Arena on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Boston College (13-1-3, 7-0-3 HEA) won its 200th game in Hockey East, becoming the first league team to reach the 200-win milestone in conference history. The league began its women's division in 2002-03.
After Boston University (6-8-3, 3-6-3 HEA) took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission through the first of Rebecca Leslie's two goals on the day, Boston College came back to tie the game via Watts' first goal 6:35 in to the second.
