Two of the Celtics young players were with the Maine Red Claws as they opened their season against the Westcester Knicks. The Red Claws came up just short, losing by 2 points 105-103. Maine struggled at the start, shooting just 21% and trailing by as many as 12 in the first quarter. They fought back in the second behind 12 points from the Celtics' James Young and were tied at 52 with 49 seconds in the half but were unable to forge ahead after that.
