Thursday, June 25 is draft day. There is always a lot of excitement surrounding the draft with promises of future stars and a new infusion of talent to the league. This year, more than most, excitement is swirling over the Celtics draft possibilities. The Celtics are coming off of a surprise entry into the playoffs as the 7th seed. They have 4 draft picks, including the 16th pick, 28th pick and 2 second rounders. . Rumors abound including possibly trading up, trading for a veteran or standing pat with their 4 picks. Amid all the trade and draft speculation, my thoughts drift back to another draft 29 years ago.
