The Celtics are scheduled to celebrate their NBA-record 18th championship at the White House on Thursday afternoon ahead of their Friday night matchup with the Washington Wizards.
Forward Al Horford, who visited the White House after winning back-to-back national championships with Florida during his college days, looked back at the visit with fond memories.
“That was awesome,” Horford said. “That was a really cool experience getting to go to the White House, to be there. We had a blast.”
“They did the thing on the lawn over there outside in the courtyard and there were other college teams at the time there as well,” he added.
