On the Cleveland Cavaliers final possession of the first half Friday vs. the Boston Celtics, newly acquired Alec Burks was fouled on a three-pointer by Marcus Smart; he nailed all three free throws to pull within seven.
In the final second of the half, however, Kyrie Irving pushed the ball upcourt quickly and found forward Marcus Morris for a three at the buzzer to put Boston ahead, 62-52.
Morris had seven points and three rebounds in the first half. He was making his second consecutive start after he and Marcus Smart moved into the first unit following Jaylen Brown’s injury.
