Several people have criticized Steve Kerr for benching Jayson Tatum in the United States men’s national basketball team’s Olympic opener over the past week. One of his own players is the most recent to join the chorus.
Warriors star Draymond Green disagreed with the decision to bench Tatum during the USA’s win over Serbia in the most recent episode of his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.”
“You don’t not play Jayson Tatum,” Green said. “That man just won an NBA championship, he’s on the cover of NBA 2K, on the cover of Sports Illustrated, saying ‘Cheers,’ and just signed the biggest contract in NBA history.
