The Red Claws won their first game of the season as they beat the Canton Charge on the road, 106-99. The Red Claws raced out to a 29 point first half lead and led by 18 at the half, but the Charge came back to take the lead in the 3rd quarter. Maine held an 82-80 lead at the beginning of the 4th quarter. The game was tied at 92-92 with 4:00 to go and Maine finished the game on a 14-7 run to get the 7 point win.
Terry Rozier made his debut with the Red Claws, starting at shooting guard.
