Jayson Tatum was already one of the league’s most popular players entering this playoff run.
Now that the Celtics have clinched the championship, with Tatum as a driving force, that popularity has reached a new high point. That extends to the next wave of NBA stars, many of whom aspire to incorporate some of Tatum’s game into their own.
Former UConn standout Stephon Castle, this year’s No. 4 pick to the San Antonio Spurs, said on SiriusXM NBA Radio that Tatum is currently his favorite player in the league.
Castle, a 19-year-old, 6-foot-6 guard/forward, said he was happy to see Tatum capture a championship.
