WALTHAM, Mass. - A basketball hoop is suspended 10 feet above the court. Isaiah Thomas, at 5-foot-9, spends most of his time in the air trying to get as close to the rim as possible.
Thomas didn’t talk to reporters Wednesday afternoon following his 21-point, seven assist effort during Tuesday night’s 113-103 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. But before they got to work for practice, his teammates were talking about his ability to finish drives at the rim and in traffic, which seems to be getting more incredible by the game.
Thomas has got a longer trip than most to basket, but what he does on that journey is the stuff of highlight reels.
