Yesterday, the Boston Celtics made their 20th and final signing before training camp opens in less than two weeks. With the signing of 23-year-old power forward Yante Maten to go along with the training camp invite of Kaiser Gates, it’s apparent there will be amble big man competition coming into this year’s preseason.
However, none of these front court hopeful’s appear as enticing for the Boston Celtics to sign as the 7-6 Senegalese supergiant, Tacko Fall.
Instead of pursuing an accomplished veteran such as Jamal Crawford or even a Luis Scola (who dazzled with an improved physique and motor while leading the charge for Argentina during this year’s FIBA World Championships) Boston opted for the raw talents of these hungry and unproven prospects.
