The Celtics’ secret to success ties back to players you’ve never heard of (yet)

PORTLAND – Before the G League season began, newly appointed Maine Celtics head coach Tyler Lashbrook gathered his team for a quintessential Maine activity: catching lobsters together in the Gulf of Maine. Lashbrook, an assistant coach on the Celtics’ championship team last season, was eager to establish the organization’s culture from the jump and figured the team bonding activity was a good place to start.

After the lobster boat tour was complete, the group enjoyed their first-ever team dinner where the 33-year-old head coach wanted to send a clear message: there’s a proven pathway to success in the NBA that begins in Portland, and you don’t have to look very hard to find it.
